Lake Michigan Layout Hunting 1-2 people $900 3-5 people $350 per person * All hunts are 6 hours in the blind or limit. * CC number required for deposit when booking hunt. All hunts have a $100 cancellation fee and a 50% deposit fee if cancelled within 30 days of your hunt. |
Open Water Layout Boat Hunting is a classic style of waterfowling that dates all the way back to the market hunting days on the Great Lakes. It takes a lot of specialized equipment and knowledge to be successful day after day. It's a rush having birds come in at eye level with nothing around you but the frigid waters of lake Michigan. It is definatley a bucket list hunt for any serious waterfowl hunter.
SEA DUCKS Wisconsin gets a surprising number of Sea Ducks from the Hudson Bay area that migrate through and winter in our Lake Michigan Waters. We target Long Tail (Old Squaws) and Scoters (White Wing). Please note that all sea duck hunts are weather dependant. The offshore waters have no protection from the wind and waves and on average only 1 out of every 3 days is safe to hunt them. If your goal is to harvest sea ducks we will definately accommodate you when we can but if the weather is too rough we will hunt Diver Ducks in a more protected location. DIVER DUCKS
Diver Duck hunting in Wisconsin can be absolutely fantastic! We begin our season shooting Red Heads and Blue Bills in the Green Bay and Door County area. As the season progresses we start to see more species showing up such as Buffleheads and Canvasbacks. Towards the last 2-4 weeks of our season we start shooting primarily Goldeneyes. All species are a blast to hunt. 
OUR EQUIPMENT
Quality equipment plays a big role in a successful and SAFE layout hunting experience. We run all Layout Addictions layout boats. They are the toughest and safest boats built. They are constructed of all welded aluminum and take a beating season after season. They also blow away any other layout boat when it comes to handling rough water and comfort for the hunter. Our tender boat is a 19' Starcraft center console that has been modified and customized specifically for big water duck hunting.
